Re-marking process utilyzing trans-ship point
CAUSE
Beginning of August, we got so proud of new business brought into our company -- LCL/FCL freight to India.
Case happened shortly after the first LCL shipment departed from Thailand. Senior management of our client informed us that Shipping Mark on all 13 pallets were wrongly put. To be worse, the wrong mark must not be seen by the consignee in India!
SOLUTION OFFER
We have talked with co-loading agent in Bangkok, whom we booked, and confirmed that they can not do anything for us. We also tried to contact their counterpart in India whether they can help our client, which we failed due to high risk & difficulty to make it at Customs presence.
After our further effort, we got to know the cargo is going to be re-consoled at Singapore, which finally become our solution switching all Shipping Marks on pallets at Singapore CFS.
RESULT
We secured high trust from our client by our achievement of this mission. At the same time, the client could make good business start-up, without unnecessary dispute with their customer.
Container re-vanning with immediate carrier switch
CAUSE
Morning of June 26th, DLK's staff were shocked with a phone-call by ocean carrier. Their vessel which was supposed to carry one of urgent freight from Automotive parts supplier got delayed by 3 days from original ETD June 28th, due to typhoon hit around China. However, laden container was already returned to CY since the previous night...
We were required for most immediate solution, otherwise, consignee's production line in Japan would be stopped for a few days.
SOLUTION OFFER
By noon of 26th, we found an alternative space from another carrier which vessel schedule can minimize the delay from 3 days to 1 day.
OBSTACLE
- Original carrier's understanding for us to switch
>> Our operation team convinced them to release container.
- Possibility of laden container pull-out for re-vanning, after completion of export customs.
>> Our brokerage team made it successful to discuss with customs officer and approved.
- Others are like original/new container transportation among terminals, CFS space arrangement
RESULT
As a result of our team work and customer's trust to our operation, we could successfully shorten the transit time to have least effect from this delay.
Upon re-vanning process, our staff visited CFS to monitor & supervise all processes, on behalf of shipper.
Vessel, after 8 days voyage, arrived at destination, and consignee could avoid worst case.
